In 2018l, we made a commitment to post new blogs on the regular, and we nearly hit our goal of a weekly post. We also put more time and energy into our digital presence and consistently shared updates, community and regional information, financial advice, and, of course, real estate advice and listings to our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, and Pinterest accounts. So, we wanted to share the top five most popular pieces of content that we shared this year in hopes that you find it useful--or at least puts a smile on your face! 

1. 5 Reasons People Love Living in Western North Carolina

It's no surprise that this blog was our most popular blog from 2018 as it includes a roundup of five articles that highlight some of the best aspects of living in our region. In fact, CreditDonkey gives "23 reasons why North Carolina might just be the best state ever" while Only in Your State provides another "20 reasons why living in North Carolina is the best." U.S. News & World Report also praised our area's "prime access to outdoor activities" while Western North Carolina's "life in WNC" gives a nice overview. Lastly, we had to include this piece from The New York Times, "A Cultured Retreat in the Shadow of the Seven Sisters."

2. The History of Black Mountain

We discovered that we have quite a few history buffs amongst our followers, and this USA Today piece, The History of Black Mountain, was just one of the many history pieces we shared over our networks that garnered quite a bit of attention. We too our thankful for the lasting impact that Black Mountain College has had on our wonderful town!

3. Beer Haven

We like to show off all the amazing food, music, and, of course, beer through our Instagram that abounds in Western North Carolina (and throughout our great state), and people dug this post about a super-cute beer flight container we came across.

4. Hurricane Florence Drive

One of our proudest moments of 2018 was being able to deliver supplies and funds raised through our Hurricane Florence drive after it rocked the North Carolina coast and beyond. We partnered with many other real estate teams, local businesses, and generous individuals to load up our Client Courtesy moving truck and drive it out to the coast post-storm. 

5. Who Doesn't Want to Laugh?

And by far, our post showing off "that Friday feeling" was the most popular funny post of the year. In fact, we're feeling the same kinda way today...
