Most Popular Content of the Month

Fall is here in Western North Carolina, and most residents will tell you that it's our favorite time of year. Cool mountain breezes, a wonderland of colors thanks to our region's incredible biodiversity, and tons of fun fall events make Black Mountain and beyond a wonderful place to live and visit in the fall.

But before we dive head first into fall, we're sharing a roundup of our 5 most popular pieces of content from September.

#1: You Should Move to Black Mountain, North Carolina!

"Black Mountain, North Carolina is the kind of town that has real personality. Warm and welcoming, shes a community of artists and artisans and all types who have sought out the landscape seeking entertainment or inspiration. The creativity surging around here is palpable and deep-rooted. Shes home to the former Black Mountain College, pretty much a modern art legend production factory in the 1940s and 50s. This town has seen talent. Merce Cunningham, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly, Willem de Kooning and more learned and taught at the progressive liberal arts school."
